This is a project of creating a place where citizens can utilize the free space of a commercial facility in front of the station. I thought that through the design of the installation, it was to be an opportunity to show citizens the use of such a space. I believe that what is important is the first reaction to the design which makes people not forcibly, but naturally use this place. Therefore the concept that we proposed is “A table inside your head”.
“A table inside your head” is an ordinary, normal table.
As such, it is used to put one’s things on it for a while or used to do a little study. It doesn’t belong to anyone but rather everyone. Thus each table inside your head holds everyone in mind.

デザインが使い手に強制ではなく、自然に使いたくなってしまう状態が、この場でのファーストアクションとして重要だと考えている。そこで提案したのは、「頭のなかのテーブル」というコンセプトである。
「頭のなかのテーブル」は、何の変哲もないふつうのテーブルである。家のテーブルのように、少しのあいだ自分のものを置かせてもらったり、ちょっとした勉強机として使ったりできる。
自分のものではないけれど、かといって他の誰かのものでもない。
みんなが思い浮かべる、頭のなかのテーブル。
